Sales Director USA West

We facilitate a mutual exchange of innovation in the domain of storage and AI infrastructure optimizations, helping clients realize their strategic goals while we advance our own mission. We are engineering the future of cloud infrastructure. This specific role is based in the US West region.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute successful sales cycles with prospects that are looking to deploy next generation cloud infrastructure. 
  • Thoroughly qualify business opportunities and drive sales engagements
  • Create and manage a healthy pipeline of customers that want to partner with Lightbits changing how cloud providers and SaaS companies build their cloud infrastructures. 
  • Build sustainable relationships with our prospects and customers. Understand their requirements and represent them to our product, support and executive teams to help us build world-class solutions and services. 
  • Setup a sustainable network that includes channel partners, systems integrators and analysts to help evangelize the Lightbits story. 
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of sales people, technologists and marketeers in different time zones with the goal to meet and exceed your goals. 
  • While largely working remote, the role requires travel of up to 10-15% of the time.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Advanced education or equivalent professional experience, with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to engage senior executives on strategic business outcomes.
  • Good general knowledge and interest in the cloud infrastructure including common storage concepts. 
  • 8+ years field hardware/software sales experience with SaaS, IaaS and PaaS customers.
  • Familiarity with the open source ecosystem and the cloud IT landscape
  • Possess an understanding of standard IT operational workflows, specifically through the lens of cloud data centers and application-centric infrastructures.
  • Proven ability in prioritizing accounts and opportunities, prospecting into new accounts, mapping out the organization and hunt for new opportunities
  • Entrepreneurial style; have a creative approach to business development and a process to get into new accounts
  • Possess a high level of motivation for achievement, driving positive outcomes for both our customers and internal Lightbits partners.
