Sales Director

Lightbits is building a field sales team to bring our world-class solutions to our world-class customers. We get to work with the best technology and the best team there is. We get to help our customers understand our vision as we are executing on it and understand their vision as they are executing on theirs. We are building the next great cloud infrastructure company. Position is located at West Coast USA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute successful sales cycles around prospects that are looking to deploy next generation cloud
  • Thoroughly qualify business opportunities and drive sales engagements
  • Build a sustainable network that includes partners, integrators and analysts to help evangelize the Lightbits approach
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of customers that want to partner with Lightbits to change how cloud providers and SaaS companies build their clouds
  • Build sustainable relationships with our prospects and customers. Understand their requirements and represent them to our product, support and executive teams to help us build world-class solutions

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Good general knowledge and interest in the cloud infrastructure, SaaS, IaaS and PaaS customer experience
  • 8+ years field hardware/software sales experience
  • Familiarity with the open source ecosystem and the cloud IT landscape
  • Continuous demonstrated success at one organization (3 years minimum with at least one company)
  • Knows how a typical IT organization runs and acts from a cloud datacenter and application lens
  • Proven ability in prioritizing accounts and opportunities, prospecting into new accounts, mapping out the org and finding new opportunities
  • Entrepreneurial style; have a creative approach to business development and a process to get in and establish new accounts
  • You must have a desire to be successful and to see your customers and Lightbits teams succeed
