Marketing Director

Lightbits’ mission is to lead the cloud-native data center transformation by delivering scalable and efficient software defined storage that is easy to consume. Founded in 2016, Lightbits brings the agility of hyperscale storage to private clouds and edge clouds. We are backed by strategic investors including Cisco Investments, Dell Technologies Capital, Intel Capital, and Micron, as well as top investors and VCs. We are looking for an experienced, bold and hands-on marketing director who would like to join our business leadership team. In this role you will need to bring together a deep understanding of digital marketing and campaign management to drive effective lead generation programs. The position is based in the U.S., either working remotely from home or from our San Jose, California, or New York offices.


  • Leads the development of product messaging, differentiated value propositions, and overall content strategy targeting specific customer segments and other audiences such as analysts, media, and partners.
  • Plans, manages, and coordinates the execution of integrated multi-channel growth campaigns that maximize pipeline and new sales opportunities using various platforms including Google, LinkedIn, Display, Content syndication and more.
  • Proposes and manages the marketing budget and relationships with vendor partners.
  • Collaborates with the BDR team to generate, nurture, and manage leads to increase the efficiency of our marketing funnel.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains our social media presence and email marketing strategy.
  • Coordinates end-to-end delivery of hosted and sponsored virtual and physical event programs including regional events and tradeshows.
  • Analyzes and reports performance of all marketing campaigns to understand ROI, identify trends and optimize spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Plans, executes, and measures experiments and conversion tests.
  • Collaborates with external agencies and strategic partners.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Self-motivated and customer-focused.
  • Proficient knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools including Salesforce, Outreach, Hubspot, Wordpress, ZoomInfo, BrightTalk, etc.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.
  • Proven working experience in B2B tech marketing, demand generation, or similar role.
  • Solid analytical skills and experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • Excellent written, spoken and presentation skills.
  • Able to effectively create and build relationships internally and externally.
